O'Keeffe

Busy doing wedding stuff and touring Santa Fe. Not much time to write and -- as you know -- I have no camera damn it! I will say this much. Georgia O'Keeffe's house at Abiquiu is the place I would like to go when I die.

The view outside her bedroom window is nothing short of astounding... but it is the inside that is jaw dropping. There are midcentury furniture and accessories from every famous architect and designer you can muster... Noguchi lamps -- Alexander Girard pillows -- Eames and more... Most gifts from the masters themselves. Infused with animal bones and Philco radios and Magintosh stereos. And almost everything else was the cleanest white imaginable.

Her kitchen and pantry are two of the most magical places I've ever been, and I am so glad they didn't allow cameras, because if they had and I had not gotten a shot of her pantry shelves, I would have killed myself for sure! More later...

That sounds like a phenomenal place (like her work)! I never thought to tour an artist's home - on my list of things to do soon! I wish you had a camera cause I'd love to see it all.

If you enter more, you will have someone reading about it! I've dropped in a few times - hope you don't mind.
